Ces polices de caractères sont codées sur un clavier ASCII étendu et permettent d'écrire en plusieurs langues (français et tamazight inclus) avec la même police de caractères. Elles sont destinées à des systèmes d'exploitation ne supportant pas pleinement l'Unicode comme Windows 98, 95 ou antérieur.

 These fonts are coded for an extended ASCII keyboard and permit to write in several langages (including english and tamazight) with the same font. They are intended to those operating systems, such as Windows 98, 95 or less, which do not fully support Unicode.

Projet ZU-Fonts/ZU-Fonts project

Ces polices de caractères respectent le codage du système universel « UNICODE » qui s'est imposé comme une norme de communication. Elles permettent d'écrire dans n'importe quelle langue du monde et sont destinées à des systèmes d'exploitation supportant l'Unicode comme Windows XP.

These fonts comply with the universal « UNICODE » system which has established itself as a norm in world communications. They allow to write in any world langage and are intended to Unicode-aware operating systems such as Windows XP.

 Les Z-Fonts et les ZU-Fonts sont codées différemment ; elles ne sont donc pas interchangeables.
Z-Fonts and ZU-Fonts are coded differently ; they are therefore not interchangeable.
